The Laughing Stock of Yale

Most people don't know about the big joke at Yale. See, when you get bad grades and have no direction in life you could always get a job with HERE. HERE was considered the last stop before being thought of as a loser. So before the merger, HERE management drafted a plan to destroy FOUR. They had to protect their COUNTRY CLUB. The problem is that they did not achieve their goal. FOUR will live on for at least five more years. Another problem is now all of these poor and middle class people can now be apart of the club. Now we get to see first hand how HERE staff don't service shops,nor do they know how to run a ground attack, and the contracts they negotiate with companies are not worth a wooden nickel. They don't want us to see this stuff, they just want us to do the grunt work and clean up their mess.(like decerts) I feel like Tiger Woods receiving the green blazer. I am so honored. (not..ha ha..) I would raise my glass to call a toast but as you already know I will NEVER drink the HERE punch.

JUST CAUSE  (ARTICLE 8)

Actively opposing the election, re-election or program of the elected leaders of the union.

What if I like an opposing canidate and I lobby to have that person elected? Should I be fired? According to this I will be. What is really sad is that I am a UniteHere member and I pay dues to FOUR.

My union is being highjacked from me and the rest of the membership. What happened to organizers? I thought you guys were suppose to be advocates for the membership?

WE are voting no because of the gag clause. Anyone can be fired if they don not agree with the leadership. Also seniors have really no protection, so if this is passed they will be let go so some younger people can come in at a cheaper rate.
Now, I don't know if people were listening at the end of last weeks call when the president said that he wasn't sure if we would receive a seperate check for car allowance. LOOK at this crap in writing folks. You will receive an extra 500 dollars in your check that is TAXABLE and it is not separate which will put us in a HIGHER TAX BRACKET. So we will pay in the end. AGAIN DON'T BE FOOLED!

Vote NO!

Vote No!  If UniteHere tries to impose any contract with a gag order it will be an illegal act on their part. We are sure they don't want to have this issue tied up in the SUPREME COURT. The ONLY way that Unite Here can get away with this is if we let them. Yes, I know that you guys are tired but don't sell yourselves out. What they have offered is what you were entitled to already. Some questions we have are: Why is the E Board recommending this? Why hasn't our lawyer told The E Board about this power play in the supreme court. I have two years of law under my belt and this case would be easy as cake. SO AGAIN, WHY IS OUR E BOARD RECOMMENDING THIS? GOOD people don't be taken advantage of! IF YOU VOTE YES, This will become a CORPORATE UNION.

We Smell Strike!

There is a hint of strike in the air. What a wonderful aroma? I and most of my co-workers are ready. We are tired of being mistreated, overworked and underpaid by industry standards. We are constantly showing workers how to fight oppression but we are being oppressed by our own employer. We put our blood, sweat, and tears into this movement. I have personally talked to many members and VO's about this situation and their favorite reply is "I don't see how you guys do it" and "Don't you guys miss your loved ones" or "You guys are crazy because it wouldn't be me". Basically we have their support. Also they would not be able to train the masses without our support.
So we would like to say  "FUCK YOU" MR. Raynor and your crappy ass proposals. We are not scared of you and  your  underlings. Management  wants to play poker. Be careful because  their are players out here who  WILL call your bluff.   Bruce, your house of cards is about to fall.  You and your brother and all of the rest of your family  who work for UniteHere are soon going to be out of a home. FUCK WITH US AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS?  Management are not the only ones to  be able to make threats and give  ultimatums.

Dragging Their Feet Until May 10th

UniteHere has once again postponed negotiations. Since they are playing games,we should step up our attack. Some suggestions might be to call a  F.O.U.R. conference, have more rallies,and invite media personal to get involved. Since management wants to play rough, their worst nightmares WILL come true!  Grim Reaper

You are a breathe of fresh air. I wish there was more members like you. We have been telling members that our Union has become a dictatorship, glad to see were not alone. You are so on the money on not being able to speak your mind. IT IS HORRIBLE!!!!
